He’s not quite on the Avenger level, but when it comes to racket-smashing skills, Andy Roddick is one of the world’s best.
In his first match since losing to Juan Monaco in Miami, Roddick underperformed on the red clay of Dusseldorf, losing 6-2, 6-2 to Carlos Berlocq.
Midway through the match, he mustered his best Hulk impersonation:
It’s an example of classic racket smashing. His balance is unbelievable, the instantaneous reaction is top-notch, and his execution is flawless. When it comes to a quick release of anger, anxiety and frustration, Roddick is a master of the racket smash. Hulk could learn a few pointers form this maestro.
