The World No. 1 finds himself along side some of the most indfluential people in the world in Time’s latest list of the Time 100.
According to Time, these are the people who “inspire us, entertain us, challenge us and change our world.”
Djokovic is certainly no stranger to topping lists.
Now he’s ranked along side the movers and shakers in politics, sports and entertainment, including Hillary Clinton, Mark Zuckerberg, Kim Jong Un, Ron Paul and Lionel Messi.
For over four years Djokovic held down the No. 3 spot on the ATP World Tour, becoming the “doormat” for Nadal and Federer. But his unstoppable season in 2011 catapulted him to the top rankings and made him a national hero in Serbia along the way.
And if the start of 2012 is any indication, he has no intention of lowering his stature any time soon.
Time’s 100 list also includes:
- Tim Tebow
- Louis CK
- Jeremy Lin
- Warren Buffett
- Tim Cook
- Barack Obama
