What do you do when you’re a pop superstar in France for a couple of shows and you need to kill the time during your days?
For Prince, the answer is simple: Grab your biggest silver sun glasses, put on your silk robe, and take your finest scepter out to the French Open.
The iconic ’80s pop star best known for his Purple Rain feature film and accompanying soundtrack turned some heads at the French Open on Monday when he was courtside to watch Rafael Nadal demolish Dusan Lajovic 6-1, 6-2, 6-1.
And he was in good company. Seated to his left is supermodel Damaris Lewis. To his right is probably his body guard. You know you’re a superpower when you can afford impromptu seats at a premier sporting event for your supermodel date AND your bodyguard.
But then, Prince has always had an outsized ego for his little frame.
He was in Paris for a series of concerts, and performed on Sunday night. What better way to spend your time than at Roland Garros. With your scepter.
I think KL put it best on twitter when he tweeted:
He’s a weird little fella…
