Is he disappointed that he’s being sponsored by the Ikea of clothing? Or maybe it’s because the shorts make his freakishly big quads look even freakishly bigger…
For the past two years now, Swedish clothing chain H&M has been expanding its sports line into the tennis arena, working with world No. 4 Tomas Berdych on a tennis collection that promises you’ll “be on top of your game as well as your style with smashing clean looks.”
The 29 year-old Czech has been acting as H&M brand ambassador both on and off the court, and working closely with H&M design teams on the tennis collection.
“I love fashion, and it’s great to now have H&M to help me develop my tennis and off-court apparel” said Berdych. He added: “I’m sure we will do great things together.”
Berdych made headlines in 2014 with his floral shirt at the French Open, which Vogue editors commented on as “featuring vented holes and panels with mesh all while maintaining style. We cannot wait to see Berdych’s ever-evolving wardrobe on (and off) the courts.”
Sadly, most of the items are already sold out online. Seriously, how do you run out of clothes? If you’re a mega clothing chain, this would seem comparable to McDonald’s running out of French Fries.
At least the popularity of his personal stylings should give Tomas something to smile about…
